Request account deletion
You can ask Portrait Group Limited to delete your Portrait My Account sign-in and associated personal data. You do not need the app installed, or access to your account, to make a request.
Email business@portrait.org.uk, or call 03300 30 30 30 if you need help. Never send your password, payment-card details or bank credentials.
How to make your request
- Use the email button above, or write to business@portrait.org.uk with the subject “Portrait My Account deletion request”.
- Give your name and the email address used for your account. If you know it, include your organisation name so we can find the right record.
- Tell us whether you want the account and associated personal data deleted, or only particular information removed. You do not need to give a reason.
If you are signed in to the app, you can also open More → Security → Close account and submit the request there. You do not need to send both requests.
What happens next
The Portrait team records your request and checks your identity where needed to protect your information. We review what can be erased and explain any information that must be retained. We normally respond within one month. If identity checks or an extension permitted by law affect the response time, we will explain this.
Submitting a request does not immediately erase your account. We will confirm the outcome, including removal of your sign-in and personal profile where the request is fulfilled. This includes reviewing associated app data and relevant service-provider records; it is not just disabling the app.
Information that may need to be retained
Some invoices, payment records, agreements, property evidence, case correspondence and security or request-handling records may need to be kept for legal obligations, fraud prevention or legal claims. We assess this for your request and explain the categories, reason and applicable retention period or criteria. We do not treat all account data as permanently exempt from deletion.
Other people’s authorised access and an organisation’s required business records are considered separately from your personal sign-in. Any remaining backup copies and the arrangements for keeping erased data out of routine use are included in the response where relevant.
Your service agreement and your rights
Deleting an app account does not itself cancel a property-service engagement, stop a payment mandate or settle an invoice. You can ask the team about those matters at the same time; they are handled separately under the relevant agreement.
You can also request access to or correction of your information. If you disagree with our response, contact business@portrait.org.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
