Surface water charges may be based on site information that has not kept up with extensions, changed boundaries or drainage alterations. We check the billed area and where rainwater from each part of the site goes.

Roofs, yards and shared areas

We separate roof footprints, hardstanding and landscaped areas, then check how shared space is allocated between occupiers. The relevant tariff determines how those findings affect the charge.

Proving the drainage route

A measured plan establishes the surfaces. Drainage records, inspection and any necessary testing establish the route to the outfall. LiDAR alone cannot confirm a concealed connection or show that all rainwater avoids the public sewer.

Putting a correction to the supplier

Where the evidence supports a change, we prepare the findings for the retailer or wholesaler and pursue the authorised review. A smaller area does not always change the charging band; any refund or future saving depends on the accepted outcome.
